Tiffany Elliott
Marriage and Family Therapy Intern
Restoring or achieving holistic healing and wellness by valuing each unique and whole human being and all relational aspects rather than focusing solely on symptoms is my primary focus. Proactively improving communication, conflict resolution, clarity of issues and desired goals and outcomes are essential for healthy individual and relational functioning, satisfaction and bonds. Better understanding oneself, the human condition we all suffer and the context of our most intimate and impactful relational systems – our families of origin, marriage, cultural and generational legacies – allows us to better explore, discover, learn, relate, emote, repair, heal and cope through the seasons of our lives. Through better understanding each aspect of our physical, cognitive, spiritual, emotional and relational life we become our most coherent self and strengthen our most important relationships through shared awareness of one another.
Prior to embarking on graduate education and clinical training in marriage and family therapy, I enjoyed a 25-year rewarding career in human resources management with Fortune 500 and Start Up companies. The last decade, I shifted to private practice where my primary focus was organizational leadership development coaching with individuals, teams and organizations expanding leadership competencies to take on greater scope of responsibilities, projects and changes where character and virtue are vitally important.
I was drawn to explore the work of healing, relational systems and psychotherapy as a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and in-law. I believe it’s never too late, nor too soon, to focus on improving, creating, healing, repairing, forgiving or reconciling with one another or for sharing more hope, love, peace and joy as a legacy of more securely attached children, marriages and families.
